Ho ricevuto una bellissima lettera da Robert Vachon, co-fondatore dell'Intercultural Institute of Montreal, che si congratula con me per il libro "Bianco e nera" che gli ho inviato tramite Kalpana.
"As I receved the book I devoured it in one hour. Then I read the book again more slowly. Now I am meditating it even more slowly.
You should know that the title means a lot to me and so does its content. Congratulations on your courage and perspicaty! I am with you 100%. And I feel your suffering and joy. It is a great book and should be translated in many languages. It has great depth and is very inspiring. Congratulations to both of you!"
Verso la fine Robert mi chiede di approfondire le radici culturali di Kate, la sua famiglia africana, i suoi ancestri. Perchè - sostiene- che non si può comprendere Kate senza conoscere la sua famiglia e la sua storia. "No Kate without her family and ancestors!!!"
Grazie Robert, è un'osservazione interessante, fatta da un appassionato di interculturalità, che mi rimanda alla sorgente. Il prossimo viaggio in Africa, in Nigeria, mi aiuterà a incontrare e conoscere la famiglia di Fidelia.
